BANANA CHOCOLATE CHIP CAKE

I N G R E D I E N T S

3/4 cup plain flour

1.5 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon baking soda

2 ripened bananas

1/2 cup powdered white sugar

1/4 cup powdered brown sugar 

1 egg

1/4 cup (4 tablespoons) butter, at room temperature

4 tablespoon thick yogurt

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup chocolate chips, dusted with flour

D I R E C T I O N S


Pre-Heat Oven at 325 Degrees  Line the cake tin with parchment paper or grease with butter

Mix flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.  Puree the bananas in a processor.

In another bowl beat together butter & sugar till they it is light & fluffy.

Add egg to this mixture & proceed to combine the dry ingredients, banana puree too. Add vanilla extract and mix well.

Mix in the yogurt to blend well. Lastly, Fold in chocolate chips.

Pour the batter into the greased cake tin and smooth out the top layer evenly by lightly tapping or with the help of the spatula.

Bake for about 40 mins or until the top turns golden brown. Cool completely before removing from the cake tin & serve.
