The Family Car of 1959, Skoda Octavia

Defining a new standard of family car with its ruggedness, reliability, timeless elegance and especially with its great value, Škoda Octavia consisted of three-door station. The Octavia name was based on the Latin word for number eight and symbolized the fact that this was the eighth car after World War II. Octavia was mainly sold in the UK, where it came with a heater, a screen washer and reclining seats as standard; which was generous for the early ’60s.  This was also the first Skoda to compete in motorsport.
