Walking out of the underground station and looking up just to find the captivating Big Ben - that is the beauty of this train station! Westminster is a London Underground station in the City of Westminster. The steam-operated District Railway (DR) opened the station on 24 December 1868when the railway opened the first section of its line from South Kensington. While, the original station building was a temporary structure positioned over the tracks and the platforms were sheltered with individual awnings rather than the all-over glazed roof, in 15 October 2015, Westminster tube station was elected as one of the 10 favourite transport design icons. Serving both as a graphic artwork and an iconic signage memento, this frame is one of our brilliant captures.
